Hilscher has upgraded its cifX PC-card drivers to support the latest INtime 6.3 version. The TenAsys®’ INtime® real-time platform, in combination with Hilscher’s cifX PC-cards, offers the possibility to run Real-Time Ethernet and Fieldbus communication in time-sensitive applications on Windows-based PCs.

The network controller family is the intelligent solution for implementing all tried-and-tested fieldbus and Real-Time Ethernet systems in the smallest space possible. The diversity and flexibility of this controller enable customers to implement any type of application needed in factory automation, regardless of whether drive controls with high demands on synchronization and very low cycle times, traditional I/O systems for the field or complex controllers with visualization and communication.

TenAsys’ INtime driver offers access to netX-based hardware (e.g., CIFX 50) with the same functionality as Windows and runs in a separate address space. The INtime driver provides a special version of the Windows CIFX application DLL that allows Windows applications to access the hardware via the INtime driver.
