Scaling the System – System, Host, Node

With INtime we understand a system as a collection of nodes where each node contributes to the application’s functionality. Nodes are physically implemented in hosts; a host may have one or more nodes. INtime does not assume or mandate any specific mapping of nodes to hosts.
So, we always think about a distributed system and INtime provides the means of scaling the system from one node to many nodes, located on several hosts.
